Stuff from Dubai

Dah lama i tak beli perfume for myself. Those days bee used to buy for me but tis year i wanna buy my own. The last 3 years, i haven't been buying perfumes cos i've been getting it for my birthdya pressie....before that i wanted to tryout Victoria's Secret (VS) body-mist range. After the VS season is over, i had to use all the gifts perfumes that i got. Still trying to finish it. Eventho i sprayed a lot but it seems so difficult to finished. I'm the type who will use the same bottle day-in/day-out till it finishes.

When i got to know that my sister inlaw's going to Dubai, i 'pesan' her to get me a bottle of perfume (I heard its cheaper there) which i've been wanting since last year but didn't get the chance to get it cos of the existing bottles of perfumes that i needed to finish-up. I know their latest range 'Jade' are selling in their counters already but i still prefer 'Crystalline' from Bvlgari.. The smells is sweet n non-strong. My latest collection. Altho there r gazillions of perfumes out there but my top list so far and my all time fave will always be 'Miracle'.

I also got a gift, a Loreal Glamshine (latest collection) from my sister-inlaw. She's very generous to her twin-bro and me and she never fails giving me something whenever she's overseas. She gave bee a Burburry 'Weekend' perfume. Plus the latest chocolate from Cadbu*y....sedap giler!!!

Race to Witch Mountain

Yes!! Finally we both got the chance to watch it. Of course being the fan of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson....how could we miss!!

Its a Walt Disney production and its a good movie for kids too.

Plot : Disney restarts their beloved Witch Mountain franchise with this family-friendly adventure. Dwayne Johnson stars as a taxi driver who gets more than get bargained for when he picks up two teen runaways. Not only does the pair possess supernatural powers, but they're also trying desperately to escape people who have made them their targets. (info from Googles)

Our review : A DEFINATELY GOOD MOVIE. Its light and feel-good movie. A must watch.

Pizza Milano

Today both of us felt like watching movie, an impromtu decision. Usually our movie day is on wednesday but since the review on the movie is soooo good, we can't resist it, especially there's only a few shows left....and we wouldn't wanna miss 'The Rock'.

After buying the tickets (show is at 7:20pm), we wanted to find food for our early dinner. Juz as we're walking, came across this new cafe just in the middle of the floor. We walked in, looked at the menu and immediately ordered. Price is reasonable.

The place is quite small but enough for about 25-30 people in one seating. Its new n everything is clean and tidy. Service was fast and when bee make payments at the cashier, the manager told us that they have a kiosk at KLCC and they have been operated there for almost 9 years. No wonder the shop's name sound familiar.

I had speghetti (RM6.99) and bee had spiral pasta (RM7.99). Verdict...the white sauce from the spiral pasta is very tasty and my speghetti is also tasty. Their mineral water (RM1.50) is 'custom-made' and the logo looks familiar kan...hehehe. Next round, must tryout their pizza and dessert selection which looks promising.

Nasi Lemak & Sandwiches

Since we're tryin to eat healthily, last saturday morning, juz before we leave to Seremban, we 'singgah' KJ. Becos the nite before i saw a program on tv about nasi lemak...terasa nak makan pulak Nasi Lemak Cikgu. Since bee trying not to eat nasi, only i ordered nasi lemak. I was soo hungry till i forgot to take pic of the newly renovated place. The taste is almost still the same. The place were quite pack but service.....sigh...late lar...

Later we adjourned to Subway cafe....bee wanna eat their sandwiches. They are very hygiene at preparing the food. There are 4 types of bread you can choose and the waiter recommended us the 'Parmesan Oregano' bread. And you can choose your preferred vegetables and fillings. Just look at it....yumee...

Their specials on that day was Seafood Sandwiches. Its our first time visiting their branch in KJ. Nice and quiet place to lepaq. I took a bite and its very very nice.

Latest mags

Ermm....i just bought two mags today. I juz found out that there are two types of In-Style mag....one UK vesion and another from US!!! Hahahaha....all this while i've been reading the UK version....duh!!! And the best thing is, US version is much cheaper!! After reading, its doesn't have drastic changes between the two lah...as long as its tips and knowledge about fashion and etc, its OK!!

So girls, the April edition is in store now...go get it while its still hot. They have the 2009 Best Beauty Buys....its a must know!! Plus 'The new rules of classic style'.

I've been a fan of Oprah Winfrey for quite some time for her talk-show. But this is the first time i'm buying her mag - O. I'm just curious to know what she gotta offer in her mag...we'll see. April issues is out too, get it in your nearest news-stand.

Nandos & Gelato Fruity

Thursday is an odd day for me to take leave. But eversince monday my molar have been giving me a bit of pain. Can still 'tahan' but bee said must quickly check with the dentist before the Seoul trip. I forgotten to make appointment and if you walk in, no way you get the chance to go in cos too many people...sigh...in the end, i didn't get to check my teeth.

Since i'm oredi around the area, the next best thing todo is go.....to One Utama...hehehe...

It lunch time and we need to eat....and now both of us gotta make sure that we "TRY" to eat healthier food. Recently there was a scare on our 'blood pressure'....and i'm damn worried. But i'm optimistic and both of us are determined not to eat more that a 3times a day portion. We will "TRY" to exercise and eat healthy food. But then again, we got to give exceptions when we visit our parents/relatives house.

Its has been years since we last ate at Nandos. Today was our first time after many many years. Even their sauce bottles has changed!! We took the seating which is on the other side of the restaurant, which is quite hidden and found the place quite cozy woh. They also have an outdoor seating. It is soooo nice to eat during weekdays cos they're not packed!! So the place is peace and quiet.

Both ordered the quarter grilled chicken with 2 sidelines. We decided that we share our rice and requested for un-salted fries. Look at the chicken....getting smaller eh. The food not bad leh...the last time i went, i totally don't like its taste but now its okey lah.

After lunch, we jalan-jalan. As we're about to go home, we stop by Gelato Fruity to share a cup of gelato ice-cream. I think we had enough of Haagan D*z and Baskin Rob*ns (they're nice but they're also very rich). This ice-cream is light but still tasty. They also have plenty of choices to choose from. They've got a nice corner for u to sit and eat ur ice-cream. Its also reasonable, only RM 6.90 per small cup. Chewah, mentang-mentanglah we're trying to eat healthily....ice-cream also need to be healthy...we saw their 'fat-free' that encouraged us to order. But really!! The ice-cream is not too rich.

Pine 38 Restaurant

Tis morning beriya-iya, i discussed with huby tat i'm gonna cook. But juz after ofis, he said lets eat out...hehehe...yabedabedoo...lah. Coincidently i was so tired. I had to finish my work late cos i'm taking leave tomoro togoto d dentist. I finished work at 6pm juz now.

Since everywhere is jam, we decided to drive to Shah Alam area. End up at Seksyen 9. Thot of trying a new corner restaurant, Pine 38.

The cafe has nice ambiance, its huge, airy and has 2 flat-screen tv. The menu has local and western dishes. The place is clean and considering its in Shah Alam area, the place is considered quite posh. The deco is high-taste and the waiters are attentive. But unfortunately, the service is quite slow which i don't understand cos there wasn't many customers today. We had our early dinner at 6.30pm.

I ordered Mihun Bandung (RM8.80), a tad too sweet and tis is the 1st time i ate mihun bandung that uses 'fish-cake' as one of its ingredient. With its price, i think they should be more generous with their ingredients. The prawns were only 2 pieces. And schredded carrot on top??!!

We had our meals with warm water (RM1.00 per glass)

Bee had mihun tomyam (RM11.80). He said its a bit overpriced cos the portion is not much. But its quite tasty lah. Maybe other times we'll try other dishes.

Tuesday Girls' Outing

I don't quite fancy outing in d middle of a working week....but its the only time that all of us are available. This is the outing which was postponed last 2 weeks ago. Nevertheless its an opportunity to meet-up and catch-up.

I left office earlier to give a few minutes of 'jalan-jalan' with bee...'sempat' pulak tu tryout some blouses and bought one cos its on sale...hehehe. Everyone was on time. We all met infront of J.Co at 6:30pm. After the guys splitted with us, we had a short discussion where to eat. Decided to tryout new eatary...Sushi Zanmai. Since none of us have any idea where the place is, we asked the very attentive customer service guy and we didn't lost our way.

I just loved the food and its reasonable. Great ambiance and we got a good private seat. I donno why i ordered so much but thank god we shared our food. Cuzzy had salad n the salad dressing was really tasty. S ordered a bit of tis n tat. Hey S, thanks for the "chawanmushi".

Its more of an outing for S to meet up with cuzzy cos they've not met for nearly 10 years. Imagine within that short period there were so many updates to catch up. After dinner, we sempat shopping and had the last stop for dessert....donuts!! I was too full and just ordered yogurt. D guys came by and joined us later.

It was indeed a fruitful meet. I enjoyed the food, the gossips, the dessert gatherings, etc. I think having the first meet at Sunway Pyramid makes it a comfy one too.

Kanna Curry House

Yezzzz......finally get to meet and eat at tis place. Its a brunch for bee n bee. We met again our couple frens...at nearly 1pm. The weather is just nice to have banana-leaves food.

Most of the people wanna eat at outdoor. Now they upgrade their place by having tiles-flooring at their outdoor place. I liked its green environment.

Ordered only fried chicken, fried fish and fish-roe. Food is gooooodddd!!!

After lunch, both of us adjourned to OUtama. Juz jalan-jalan and departed in the evening. And i went home empty handed...still couldn't find my tote-bag...sigh!

Eating saturday n xpensif parking fee

Yesterday i badly needed to go to Pavillion cos Tangs were having sale. We reached the place just half n hour before noon. Later we're suppose to meet up with our regular couple fren. I wanted to look for a tote-bag for my trip to Seoul...went to so many boutiques and so many anchor tenants....but still no sign of bag. Bee said there were like...thousands of bags in the mall and i couldn't find one!!! hahaha....he doesn't know that i'm so damn fussy when it comes to certain things...hehehe...

Met our frens just in time for lunch. Decided to eat at the Republ*c food-court. S had Vietnam Beef Noodles, A had Fried Keowteow and shared oyster omlette, I had Nasi Kerabu (RM16) and Bee ate Nasi Lemak (RM12). The food is good there.

Just after lunch, we adjourned to Madam Kw*n for its dessert. The couple fren introduced us the 'Golden Dream'....boleh-tahan! 1 bowl of sweet-icy dessert to be share per couple.

Later went to cineplex to checkout movie...but full.....so apalagi....shopping lar....tapi yang beriya shopping was our couple frens....i still couldn't find anyting that i wanted...sigh....sigh....geramsss.

After jalan-jalan, surely thirsty....went for another round of tea pulak at the food-court. S and me had porridge with cakoi and the guys had almost the same thing.... hot cofi, bread and boiled eggs.

We all departed around 6.30pm...and both had to pay a freakin RM15 for parking!!

Nite time there is an EPL game...Machester United vs Liverpool. Both of us meet-up again with our couple fren at their house to watch the game. We brought satay and just had it for dinner as we're all still full. I'm pissed cos MU lost that nite....stopid!! We left their crib at around 1:30am...
