Women Speak Launch at Top Hat Restaurant

As part of the company's commitment to the Worldwide Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives. The company has formed a committee for this project and all of us attended this launch.

o 12.30 – 2.00 Registration and Welcome lunch
o 2.00 – 2.20 Opening Address by Mr XXX (OIC, of the company)
o 2.20 – 2.30 Launch of PWS
o 2.30 – 3.30 Empowering Women at the workplace – External Speaker
o 3.30 – 5.30 Networking and Wellness Lab

We car-pooled with MO to go there. We left the office around 11:45am. Goodie bags were given to those who attended this program.

The external speaker is Ms. Faridah Hamid. She has been doing women's talk for the international and local people. We had fun listening to what she has to share. Its about empowering ourselves by learning to ask the right questions rather then whine and complaint about petty things.

The one thing that she said that caught my attention was a caption from her slides that says :- 'how we spend our days is, of course how we spend our lives'.



Lessons in life that she personally wanna shared with us are :-

1. Focus on strengths

2. Improve

3. Delegate

4. No need to be perfect

5. Invest 10% of our income in education (for personal development)

After the talk, we all adjourned to another session, 'make-over'. At the same time Estee Lauder is having discounted for their product range. Most of us made our purchased lar....cannot tahan mah!!
