Its a good day today. Tis morning both bee n me decided to treat some of our close relatives for brunch. Its a simple affair of get together and eating mamak food. We chose Peli*a Subang Jaya cos of its nice environment & easy access for everyone. Its a nice weather today, cool & windy. We all met around 11am and most of us had nasi kandar, paper-tosei, roti sardine wif glasses of kopi-O and teh-tarik.

We had a good time chatting, joking and some serius discussions regarding current issues, etc...etc. Eventho its a short gathering but considering we are close, it turns out to be a nice one. After lunch, everybody just went back. Hope to do it again in future.

Both of us went back home. Since we're both still full after the heavy brunch, i just tried my hands on 'crispy squid'. The recipe is easy. All you need is 2 tablespoon of flour, 2 tablespoon of corn-flour, 2 tablespoon of rice-flour, 1 beaten eggs (depending on how much is your squid) and squid. Clean squid, cut and pat dry. Mix all flour with salt + pepper. Dip squid in egg mixture and pat it into flour and fry. This is how it turn out lar. Bee said ok woh....hehehe..

Then i cooked 'Masak Kuning Ikan' or the rawas call it 'Gulai Lemak Ikan'. Its pot-luck for dinner at my mom's place. I used jenahak as its my favourite. Mama cooked her vegetable soup with crab and chilli XL prawns while my sister-inlaw made masak jawa tempe with kacang & tauhu. Its a small gathering as its been like 2 weeks i didn't see all of them together.

Later we had karipaf and cakes for supper and i made marble cake.
