Toast Box & Chilli's

Yesterday, i sort of forced bee to take leave (hehe) cos i took leave for today. I wanna go jalan-jalan at Pavillion. Can't get enough of that place, furthermore Parkson is having sale.

As usual we reached there at 10:30am, wanted to take our breakfast at The Loaf but their portion is hefty and hence we opt for smaller portions instead, we had our breakfast for the first time at Toast Box at the Food Republic. We're curious to know whats nice there. Bee treated!! We took a set each which consist of coffee, a set of roti-bakar and half-boil egg which cost RM6.80 per set. And ordered 2 bungkus of nasi lemak. Boleh tahan lah the nasi lemak altho we find it too expensive for a small portion at RM2.50. The eggs came out perfectly and the roti bakar's butter n kaya is generous filling. I had kopi o and bee had kopi and they're really good. The portion made us full till lunch.

Sempat beli J-Co donut for my dessert at home. But after today, i don't think i will 'mengidam' for donuts for months to come....donno why lar....muak pulak.

Actually the reason i had to go to Pavillion is becos the shoe that i wanted so badly can only be found in Nike Pavillion. Yesterday i make a few calls to Nike shops in Sunway, Subang Parade, The Curve, Ikano, BSC, KLCC and they're all either out of stock or no size. Alas, i got my simple Mary Jane and it fit me perfectly!! So now i hope i would not have problems with shoes anymore.

Dah habis satu Pavillion jalan-jalan, bee suggested that we go KLCC since he hated going there during weekends. Went to Isetan and wanted to survey my wallet which has already given way. The old wallet that i've been carrying till now was bought in 1995, when we're still courting. It has lasted for a very very long time. I still remembered he bought me a Hilly for my birthday at Sogo, KL. I have been getting wallets for gifts but my fave is still that Hilly. I had scouted for another Hilly to replace it but not to my taste, i've been looking at other brands, tapi tak berkenan. I thot if i'd survey the price here and do comparison then maybe when i'm in Hong Kong, i can decide whether to buy it here or there. Entah macam-mana terberkenan a Balenciaga wallet at a 30% discount, bee said belilah nanti menyesal. So that's what i did!!

Jalan punye jalan punye jalan sampai perut pun perlu di-isi. Bee said he wanted to sample the appetiser in Chilli's. We found a nice view seating which is facing the KLCC lake. If you go during lunch or dinner time, chances is you can't choose seats. It was 3.30pm and the place is not that packed. We had 'triple-play' which consists of 3 pcs of yummy fried chicken breast, 4 pcs of guacomole with its jack-cheese and 5 pcs of buffolo wings with their dip sauce. Later we ordered 1 main-dish. I told bee that we had to share it cos Chilli's served large portion and i can never finished it. We had a rib with chicken breast combo. Itupun tak habis! Tapau the appetiser.

We left KL before 5pm cos bee wanna beat the jam. Guess what we had for dinner? We had J-Co donuts and 2 pcs of guacomole which we tapau-ed back from Chilli's. The stomach is still very full. Imagine i tak habiskan 1 more piece of donut....just cannot!!!

Happy Independance Day, Malaysia!

Happy 50th Merdeka Malaysia, i'm proud to be a Malaysian. There is no better place then your own country. As the saying goes, 'hujan batu di negeri sendiri, lebih baik daripada hujan emas di negeri orang', i find it so true.

Hope you people enjoyed the 3 days holidays. I know i enjoyed mine altho' we didn't go see the fireworks like we did last year at KLCC. In fact a fren of ours were saying he waited for an hour at KLCC but no fireworks...poor thing. On eve of Merdeka, we were so tired becos of the contest thingy that we slept before the countdown. But we didn't miss the 'Perbarisan' the next morning...we watched it from the TV that is...

After the perbarisan, both huby n me took off and went to OU....spend the last kopek of mega-sale shopping to find any other interesting things. We were supposed to watch a movie but once we reached OU we totally forgot about it. Ate at Sushi King (i love sushi). Huby is in good mood so he said i can choose any eatery that i wanted and since i crave for sushi, we went to Sushi King........its his' 2nd time (i kinda force him oso lar) and he don't like sushi, so he opt for tempura...still its not to his liking, hehehe.

Later in the evening we still have room for dessert. Head to Waffle World. Imagine its only 4pm and the place is full, we have to wait for people to vacant a spot for us. Had a plate of belgium-waffle with ice-cream each!! Mine is with banana while huby prefered his plain.

At nite, we got a chance to meet up with the couple fren which we suppose to meet few weeks ago. Had dinner at Kelana Seafood and catch up on old times.

The next day we were suppose to go back to Seremban but my MIL told us not to come back as a kenduri which was supposed to be held were postponed.

So huby decided that rather that stay at home and doing nothing, he spontaneously suggested that we go Genting. I immediately agreed to follow him to a day-trip to Genting. He said its been like 10years plus that he last went. For the record, i've been to Genting many times but i've never been to Genting with huby, not even during our courting days.

We reached the top of Genting at 11am. Good weather and so it was cooling. Since its difficult to find one in Klang Valley, we opt to have our lunch at Marrybrown at the indoor theme park. Dalam sejuk-sejuk tu sempat lagi makan ice-cream kat McDonalds, hehehe.

We walk and walk alot and see people from all races and people from all over the world there, they have Arabs, people from Taiwan & Korea. I didn't know there is like a mini-mall in the indoor theme park. It was our first time venturing at the shopping outlets. Its nothing to shout about lar cos they have outlets like Vincci, Padini, Bonia, Sinma, etc, the different atmosphere is it is in a theme park, that's all. Later we walkout out and enjoyed the breeze from the nearby hill and took photos.

Sunday took a short drive to Seremban. Took the Labu way to go back to KL at nite since the highway is jam.

Eating Weekends

Weekends are about bonding, eating and feasting. Doesn't matter where or what you eat, the most important thing for the day is having your meals and sharing good times with your loved ones.

Last saturday, went to Carrefour Subang cos huby bought for me a new Sony memory stick pro duo for my handphone. I had to transfer and download the old memory stick to a new memory stick. After that, we had our lunch. I was craving for KFC ever since the weekdays. Each of us had snack plate, original flavour, its finger linkin' good!!

Later we adjourned to One Utama (our fave place to be, hehe!!). Huby and me needed new shoes, so we have a mission that day. Must get a pair or two shoes. We covered the whole of OU from Parkson to Jusco and then back to Parkson again. Make a stop-over at Robert Harris cafe and tryout their coffee and chocolate ice-blended. Which looks like this. Hmm...we give 4/10 lar.

After the walking and gotten ourself what we wanted (huby got his black shoes and i got myself 2 pairs of shoes, hehehe), we headed to my parents house in evening.

Wanted to tryout Tiara Jacqueline's new eatery place, The Borneo Rainforest Cafe. Read about it in many newspapers so we thot we'll just take our parents. All of us ordered rice base food cos all of us are so hungry already. Huby orderd Chap Fan rice, Papa ordered Nasi Dagang, Mama ordered Nasi Kerabu and I ordered Nasi Lemak special. Papa praised his food, i tried huby's chap fan, memang tasty and my nasi lemak is very good too. All of us ordered hot drinks to go with dinner. They also served other extensive range of food like pasta, fusion noodles, satay and barbeque dishes.

After dinner, we jalan-jalan Sunway Pyramid which we go thru a bridge-walkway via Sunway Tower Hotel.

On Sunday, we took our parents to Pelita SS2 for breakfast. Then bring them to Ikano for jalan-jalan. We all had Pizza Hut for Lunch. My mom just love eating pizza. No choice but to take them there. By chance, huby n me already so 'muak' but still go ahead.

Since it was my brother's birthday, my parents treat us all for dinner at Johnny's Steamboat Restaurant at OU (papa's choice of place)

After dinner, papa treated us desserts at Baskin Robbins. Each couple shared 2 Banana Rumble 2 scopes ice-creams and a Waffle Berry 2 scopes ice-creams. Papa so generous tonite.

We all reached my parent's home nearly 11:00pm. Sat at the main-hall and chat till past midnite.

Turn of event!

I was so ready to go to work today. But as i woke up, i got a bad stomach-cramp (time of the month again!). It was quite unbearable, so yours truly decided that its not a good day to go to work. I text my boss and my colleague and told them that i'm unable to come to work. Huby decided to take me to the doctor and he'll be taking off today too...hehehe...

Went to see doctor around 10.30am cos the pain is still there and i don't like taking pain-killer. And at the same time i had a terrible back-ache. After the trip to the doctor, mentally and physically, i was quite okey. Our stomach got hungry and so huby took me to a new eatery in Uptown. We have been wanting to go to this place for quite sometime but the place is always pack and parking is a hassle. But this morning we were lucky. The name of this place is 'Village Park Restaurant'. They served very good nasi lemak with lots of condiments and side orders. The sambal is spicy. I had my nasi lemak with ayam goreng berempah panas...pehhh...memang sedap to go with my kopitiam teh-o. Huby had nasi lemak with sambal sotong with kopi-kow!! They have other menu; asam laksa, keowteow fishball soup, mee rebus, prawn mee and of course their roti-bakar with kaya and hard-boil eggs, which looks very tempting. So many crowd and so many people come and go. Best jugak tryout new place.....suddenly after breakfast and taking my medicine, i feel much better.

Huby had this crazy idea! He asked, wanna go to KLCC since we seldom go there during weekend cos of the crowd. He decided that we parked at Taman Bahagia and take the LRT to KLCC. Dah lama pun tak naik LRT, syok pulak, rasa macam jakun! It was a 35minutes ride and before noon we were already there. We went to Isetan and Parkson and bought a few things. Sempat lagi beli kasut sports for myself. Since we were still very full, we went for late lunch at the food-court. Ordered wantan-mee with prawn dumpling soup which we shared. Not bad, the soup is tasty and the prawn-dumpling is solid. By 3:30pm, we head back to Kelana Jaya to avoid the rush-hour.

Once we reached home, i decided to bake some cup-cakes. I've been wanting to eat cup-cake for quite sometime and could not order cos the person who sell em, stop taking orders till September. I'm gonna bring some to the office tomoro for the girls and some for my parents.

And since we ate outside, i cooked dinner. Just simple dinner, fish and chips with coleslaw (bought at Cold Storage) and beef ball. Suppose to eat with brown sauce but huby said no need since i'm already so tired, heh...heh..thanks bee!

Its a nice un-planned outing for me today. Sometimes, deciding an outing on the spot is much better rather than a planned one. What a turn of event!!
