Hale's Kitchen & Aeon Mahkota Cheras

I'm on leave today. No occassion, its just that some days, i do take special leave to spend time with my other half. I find that necessary, hehehe.
Today my other half wants to take me to a new eatery place. Its is located in Kg. Baru, KL. Its not hard to find the place. Hale's Kitchen is a 'halal' eatery. They have abundance of main-dishes to choose from.

I had a fish dish. And Bee had chicken cheese dish.. The food was delicious and portion was just nice....not too much or too little. Of course, we cleaned our plate in no time...

Their contacts are : Ground Floor Plaza RAH 111, Jalan Raja Abdullah, Kampung Baru, 50300 Kuala Lumpur

Both of us find the food good and we will definately come here again (if we're around the neighbourhood).

After lunch, bee drove to Cheras area to check out the new mall. It rained heavily that day. The mall has all the usual outlets, nothing extraodinary about it. Somehow i find it kinda boring. But at least i've been here!!

Te*ra Briyani Rice

A colleague told me that the best briyani that she ever tasted were at Tet*a. An Indian restaurant. So she make an effort to drive us there during lunch time. Its around Klang area.

The restaurant is clean & tidy. The briyani rice were okey. I had Vegetarian Briyani and it was quite alrite. Simple condiments to be eaten with the rice.

Its a long journey from the office but i guess its worth it for her.

Papa John & Serai

This entry were supposed to be published earlier but i was too busy.

We wanted to tryout Papa John at SPyramid and since it was mama's birthday & she lurves pizza, we decided to take her there. We ordered the specialty that they recommended and we think that the pizza are just so-so. However, other dishes like chicken wings & mushroom soup were passable.

A few weeks later we took our parents to 'jalan-jalan' to the new mall in SJaya, E*pire Gallery. And we have dinner at a new restaurant 'Serai'. We ordered main-dishes to be eaten with white rice. We find the food 'normal'...nothing to shout about but we also think that they were over-priced. Altho it is a fine-dining concept but the prices are still on the high-side. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the food.

Date nite with hubby

Today we had impromptu dinner & supper. After watching the most boring & unworthy movie, both of us have no idea where to have dinner. Since we have no worries in the world today for anything todo, hubby decided to take me somewhere new.

We made our way to KL area and make some many rounds to find this place. He said he read about the review in the newspaper and alas as usual we managed to find the place.

The name of this restaurant is Studio Cafe, situated at Wangsa Maju. Zahid from AF2 was one of the share-holder of this restaurant. Nice cozy ambiance and has very familiar restaurant concept.

I ordered Aglio Olio Speghetti & hubby wanted to try their locals and ordered Mee Bandung. I think this is the most delicious Aglio-Olio i ever had. The speghetti is cooked perfectly & the concotion were just right....it is really sedap!!. Hubby enjoyed his noodle too. Price was orait. They also served western & local dishes.

I will definately wanna come back to this place. I recommended you to come and tryout.

Later on, we both went on for a leisure drive around KL town. Just before midnite, we passed by Bangsar area and decided to tryout a new place called Chawan. Its situated where the old Devi's Corner in Bangsar was and by the time we reached the place, its already packed to the brim.

We managed to find a parking space (which is so surprisingly for us cos its difficult to get parking) especially on a saturday nite!!. Had simples supper, ordered 'Rojak Buah' & fried wantan . Its a kopitiam concept, with very minimal deco but there were so many people, you hardly get seats. To me the food was sorait only, nothing to shout about but its a great place to hangout and meet people. This cosy place is great to grab a cuppa, as you can get any locally-produced coffee on their menu. We generally loved this place but prices are definately much higher then your normal kopitiam...what do you expect, its Bangsar!!

Big Brother Restaurant & Grill

A new place in town....recomended by our good couple frens. First of all, it is HALAL. Its serves western & grills. Have all the basic menus, eg, starters, main course, dessert & also some local meals. Simple, cozy environment.

We ordered Mushroom soup (which is really really good), Chicken Chop, Chicken Grill, Fish & Chips and Footlong sausage. Prices are reasonable. Overall the food tasted good. I especially enjoyed the mashed potatoes and the coleslaw were not bad.

Thanks for recommending guys :)

The Briyani

Actually we tasted this very good briyani rice which my parents took back home from an engagement 'kenduri'. It was soo good, i asked my mom who this uncle catered the food from and she showed me the napkin of the caterer which has their name & address.

Hubby said today, we must go and find the restaurant and coincidently the restaurant review came out in the local newspaper. Its located in SJaya. We drove around and managed to find this restaurant.
Simple, clean & hassle-free environment. with indoor & outdoor seating.

Both of us ordered the same thing, Chicken Briyani, which comes together with dhall gravy & vegetable pickle. Taste : very authentically like middle-east briyani, non too heavy on the spicy side. The chicken is tender but unfortunately the service was quite bad and we got our food late.

Al-Rawsha Restaurant & Wangsa Walk

Took d whole gang to this new restaurant. We looked up about this place from the internet and the review were promising. We wanted to try something diffrent, instead of going to the same 'ol place. My parents were happy to obliged and my bro wife juz follow suite. Unfortunately for bro cos he was having a stomach-upset cum food-poisoning hence he didn't really get to enjoy the food. He just had mushroom soup.

This place is in Ampang, just behind the French embassy. Its quite far from KJ but its worth a drive.

We ordered Chicken Kabsa rice, Chicken Mandy rice, Salad, Lamb & Chicken Kebab. They were all delicious, non too oily. Its recomended!! My parents said the tea were nice & we tried the bottled drinks from Turkey, which has so many flavour but taste were so-so only. The room that we sat in were cozy & privacy. There were two types of seating, an outdoor and an indoor seating where the latter ones have aircondition.

Later hubby & me took my parents to 'jalan-jalan' the new mall in town. The place is quite big, ample parking space but mostly have same retail shops. Later my parents and us had tea at A&W restaurant to quench thirst before we left home.
