Kit Kat Senses

This is the latest Kit Kat Senses that i received, all the way from UK. Its not here yet....donno when its coming to our shores....sigh.

Its very milky, when it is in the mouth, you can feel its thick caramely almondy cream inside plus the cruncy wafer. Its a little bit too sweet to me tho bee seems to like it. It taste a bit the same like another brand, Kinder Bueno.

Waffles nite with my parents

Last friday after office, bee n me went to Putrajaya Hospital cos MIL (mother-inlaw) were admitted there for an eye operation. After visiting her, we went back to Shah Alam (its 9pm at that time). Papa called and asked whether we want to have waffles (he loves A&W waffles).....and since its friday nite, bee wants us to obliged. I was oredi so tired but didn't wanna dissappoint them. Took a quick bath and pack our clothes (since we might as well stay a nite a Kelana Jaya).

Fetched them close to 11pm. Wah...there were so many cars at the Federal Highway....hmmm...people are complaining that fuel is too high lar....all prices went up lar....tapi A&W PJ there were packed with people.

We ordered a waffles for each couple with 2 scoops of ice-cream and strawberry jam...emmmm memang sedap. In fact there was a long queue for waffles as well as the root-beer. We ordered 1 mug of large root-beer per couple with curly fries and onion ring....hmmm what a healthy supper....duh!!

Ole-Ole Bali

Yesterday was our movie day. Since the movie is starting at 8:00pm, we will usually have our dinner early. And since i do not wanna go 2 same outlet, i suggested bee if we could tryout new place....he agreed..hehehe...cos earlier he said he wana go for TGIF...sigh..

I've been to Bumbu Bali restaurant in Puchong with my colleagues before, so i thot why not tryout Ole-Ole Bali which have been in Sunway Pyramid for quite some time oredi.

Its nice to go to a new restaurant where bee and i haven't been to yet. There were just us when we first arrived (6:00pm). Bee ordered Nasi Campur Ole-Ole with extra nasi kunyit and cumi-cumi goreng. We decided to order only 1 dish cos i know the main dish is large, that's why we ordered just extra rice cos i can share other lauk with bee.

Nasi Campur Ole-Ole (RM30)
White rice with grilled prawns, grilled squid, grilled dory fish, a stick of lemon grass chicken, kangkung goreng, chicken curry & 2 types of sambal and achar bali style plus a cracker. The portion is definately generous, we shared pun still banyak. All were grilled at perfection, non too springy or too hard...just nice & tasty. D sambal is nice and the curry chicken is so tender. D fish tak hanyir langsung.

Cumi-Cumi Goreng (RM12)
Its actually fried squid (which is so tender and tasty) and some potato wedges. Dipped with their special mayonaise bali style. Even this dish is also generous servings.

Nasi Kunyit (RM2)
It taste like normal white rice, i guess its just the presentation.

The deco from inside is very 'the' Bali, accompanied with Bali music on the background plus water feature sounds...very soothing....

Another type of seating in the restaurant.

Outside seatings for smokers, its quite cozy.

Ole-Ole Bali serves indonesian food be it fusion or traditional. Portion is large, so you can opt to share with your loved ones. When we left the place close to 7:00pm, there were quite a few patron dining the place oredi. Its located at the ground floor, main entrance, Oasis Boulevard, Sunway Pyramid.

Journey to the Centre of the Earth - 3D

The last time bee & i went for a 3D movie was in Imax Theatre, Berjaya Times Square (BTS). I think during that time, for tickets, we paid around RM25 per person when it was first introduced (its 2006 i think). But now they Imax only charge RM15 per adult. The good news is, IMAX is no longer the only theater that shows 2D or 3D shows, they have it in GSC & TGV as well.
Coincidently last week, my colleague 'M' text me and said the 3D movied she watched was awesome. I asked her is it in BTS and she said its in Sunway Pyramid!! Terkezut jugak!! Didn't know oso they have 3D movie there. But today got the chance to experience it at Sunway!!

The best thing is earlier today, bee went and bought the tickets cos he anticipated that its gonna be difficult to get tickets if we tend to buy it in the evening (after ofis-hour)....Boy!! he was right as usual cos the place is full-house!! The best thing is we got a 'couple-seat'...hehehe....comfynya!! U only pay extra RM1 for the couple seat that make it M18 per adult.

Its an adventure/action movie.

The plot (cut & paste from google) :

During a scientific expedition in Iceland, visionary scientist Trevor Anderson (Brendan Fraser), his nephew Sean (Josh Hutcherson) and their beautiful local guide, Hannah (Anita Briem), are unexpectedly trapped in a cave from which their only escape is to go deeper and deeper into the depths of the Earth. Traveling through never-before-seen worlds, the trio comes face-to-face with surreal and unimaginable creatures--including man-eating plants, giant flying piranha, glow birds and terrifying dinosaurs from days past. The explorers soon realize that as volcanic activity increases around them, they must find a way back to the earth's surface before it is too late.

They will venture the world (never seen before) and also encounter variety of unusual creatures.

For bee & me, especially me, its a fun thrill ride not too heavy kinda stuff....i'm encouraging you people out there, go see this movie, it must be in 3D okey. There were a lot of exciting scenes and funny ones. Go with your kids, go with your relatives or office-mates or bestfren or boyfren/girlfren or husband/wife and enjoy the movie. Its really exciting and fun. YOU MUST MUST go and watch and its definately worth the ticket fee!! :)

Manhatan Fish Market

Yesterday huby n i dah mati kutu dono what and where to eat. Since i come back late (means too tired to cook), we'll usually eat out. Bee just drove and end up in Subang Parade.

One of the deco in the restaurant.

We just checked out Nandos but it didn't tempt up at that particular time. We end up landing at its neighbour which is the shop that serves fishes. Decided to order platter for 2. I sort of stopped eating oyster and so asked them whether they could substitute it with others and they can!! Instead of getting 4 pieces of prawns, they gave us 8!! Bestnya!!! Actually the waitress asked whether we want to substitute it with squid or prawns, so we opted for the latter.

Generous on the fries sampai tak habis pun!

The 8 pieces succelent prawns...
Oya, the menus is new, so the prices of most of the meals has been increased!!.....hmmm nampaknya semua dah naik harga kan...but i guess its a matter of adjusting lar...ahaks!!

Wedding at Equatorial Bangi

A colleague of mine got married last saturday at Equatorial Bangi. She reserved 3 tables just for the office-mates. I car-pooled with 'S' cos most of us attends the wedding 'solo'. I guess the bride have limited amount of people for the wedding reception. The ballroom i guess could only fit about 500 people.

The pelamin is simple and nice.

We were seated quite near to the pelamin.

We left Kelana Jaya at 7pm and reached the hotel just in time at 8pm. I think this is the most enjoyable wedding i ever attend. Altho the food came late but its all worth it cos the food is seriously delicious and the dessert were just spectacular. I guess the hotel chef did a very good job!! I enjoyed it cos we get to watch 2 video montage. One show is the one by the bride & groom and the other video montage was a surprise one for the bride from her cousins & siblings.

Every plate has a small 'love note' maybe as a symbol of the couple's love.

The hotel gave 2 piece of 'home-made' chocolate in a cute box which is very nice.

The sweet pink 'bunga-telor' with the bride's & groom's initials

Inside is boiled egg complete with salt & pepper sachet with a 'thank u' note from the couple.

Starter: tomyam soup with 2 prawns in everybody's bowl.

The main-dishes. The udang galah masak kari is so tasty!!

The dessert was 'lompat-tikam'....wah, i wished i can get second helping. Its texture is so soft and the gula melaka was just so perfect!!

After the cake-cutting, the bride & groom waited outside to shake hands with other guest who's leaving, by then its around 11pm. After that the bride & her relative have a 'joget-lambak'.

I wish 'N' and her hubby a happy life and thereafter. We will definately missed you when you migrate to Bahrian with your hubby.

Green Ice Cendol Specialist

After lunch and jalan-jalan at Jusco Bukit Tinggi Mall, our feet were already tired cos there were lotsa walking. Before going home, i saw one shop that sells cendol and apom. Looked at the menus and interested to try. Huby is so reluctant and didn't encourage me cos he said there wasn't any 'halal' sign. I coaxed him jugak cos its says no pork n no lard. Furthermore its just cendol and apom.

Being a stubborn person, i insist nak try jugak so he just teman me only. I ordered one cendol-biasa and one 'apong-banana'. Its actually a crispy apon where they put in crushed peanut, butter and banana as a filling.

Verdict : the cendol is so not nice. I think they used instant santan, so the flavour didn't go well. Even the gula melaka pun 'tak sedap'. In the end, i'm just so dissappointed with the whole thing.

Verdict : apong banana....since i love banana, it taste sweet but the apom is just so-so. Maybe if you buy from the stalls outside, i guess it taste even better.

But at least i tried and i know i won't be visiting them anymore. Bee suka lar cos earlier he told me not to go....sigh...

Black Canyon Restaurant

When we were at Jusco Bukit Tinggi, we're so hungry cos we purposely didn't wana take breakfast. Thot of goin for brunch straight-away. Of course there were so many restaurants to choose from, the familiars ones u see are all the fast-food outlet (Pizza Hut, McDonalds, KFC, Kenny Rogers, etc). There's Windmill and Black Canyon and other new outlets.

I've been wanting to tryout Black Canyon for quite some time but huby don't fancy going to Summit, so its such a nice feeling to know that Black Canyon is in Bukit Tinggi. This restaurant serves combination of East & West. They have western food and thai-style menus.

I ordered Nasi Goreng America with Chocolate Ice Blended.

Huby ordered Cream of Chicken, Mushroom Sauce Steak and Iced Mocha.

I must say that they're quite generous on their servings. D nasi goreng is biasa but the fried chicken is tasty and tender. Huby liked his mushroom sauce and the beef is tender but he said they used the normal beef instead of the type which you're suppose to use for steak. Their ice blended are just nice, not too sweet.

Of course new place and you mostly get nice ambiance. So we liked the place and there'll definately be more visits....hopefully soon....hehehe...

Aeon Jusco Bukit Tinggi

Last saturday, bee said he must take me to Aeon Bukit Tinggi which he wanted to do for few weeks back.

Ground floor view from lobby

We left our house around 11am. Took a drive to Klang and didn't like to road-trip. The place were having some constructions work hence the road track was quite bad.

View from the ground floor

To have a big shopping mall in Klang? Best jugak, no need to go KL. Of course new place and you mostly get nice ambiance. So we liked the place and there'll definately be more visits there....hopefully soon....hehehe...
They said its the largest Jusco in Malaysia?. Wait till u come in. Don't compare to Pavillion or Star Hill. You have to compare this mall with Jusco's other malls, then you'll know what i mean.

Some greenery part of the mall. They have a water feature there.
There're the bigges alrite! Its 3-4 stories high with lotsa shops. Altho' they don't have designer labels like Chanel or Coach but it has all those familiar shops u see in other Jusco. They've got lotsa restaurants/cafes too (Secret Recipe, Starbucks, Delifrance, etc), you'll be spoilt for choices. They also have TGV Cinemas, and of course, Jusco Departmental Stores and Supermarket. What else do you need, really?

Outside view from 1st floor.

We didn't really got all the time to survey the whole mall cos i've got to attend a colleagues's wedding. So we left around 4pm and bee took the Kesas highway back.
I took some of the pics....for fun. If you have time, go check out this place.

Tram Car Restaurant

Thanks to suweet cuzin, Sweettooth blog, huby n me managed to find this restaurant (previously known as 'Cable Car Cafe'. They've just opened a month ago. The half-owner Janet, is so happy to see us when we stepped in to her cafe for lunch. We asked her why the change of name, she said cos a change of management.

The place is kinda cozy but huby agreed with me that the place is a bit too dark. The interior is nice but we think they should put more lights to it....hehe...

Bee ordered his fave sharksfin soup with grilled fish while i ordered the long awaiting mihun soup.

Verdict : the sharskin soup is sedap but i guess it a bit diluted. I liked it cremier (like it used to be).

Fish is gooooooddd!! The marinated barbeque sauce is tasty.

Mihun soup.....sedap.....

Overall it is satisfying lah. Can't wait to bring my parents there.

Hancock (Movie)

Hancock, a superhero or superzero??

Went to Queensbay Mall to see Hancock at GSC. Its a 3:30pm show. We anticipated that its gona be a good movie to watch....tooooooottt....wrong!!

The Plot (cut n paste from yahoo) : There are heroes... there are superheroes... and then there's Hancock. With great power comes great responsibility -- everyone knows that -- everyone, that is, but Hancock. Edgy, conflicted, sarcastic, and misunderstood, Hancock's well-intentioned heroics might get the job done and save countless lives, but always seem to leave jaw-dropping damage in their wake. The public has finally had enough -- as grateful as they are to have their local hero, the good citizens of Los Angeles are wondering what they ever did to deserve this guy. Hancock isn't the kind of man who cares what other people think -- until the day that he saves the life of PR executive Ray Embrey, and the sardonic superhero begins to realize that he may have a vulnerable side after all. Facing that will be Hancock's greatest challenge yet -- and a task that may prove impossible as Ray's wife, Mary, insists that he's a lost cause. (the rest of it, go n watch it yourself ok)

Our verdict : i think it was okey for the first hour but the ending just sucks!! Its certainly the most sucky superhero flick i'd ever seen. I guess the ideas/concept were interesting lar but it fell short from expectation. But then, its my opinion, different people see from diffrent angle mah.
