Le Masquerade du Victoria

I loike our annual dinner's theme.....

First time I got elected as one of d committee member. By d time they elect us, there wasn't much time cos it was already Nov last year!! There were gazillion things todo. There were eleven of us, all girls with one guy only. At first our theme was 'Bollywood' but unfortunately it was rejected.

Being a committee has given me added responsibility to my already busy & packed schedule. Nevertheless with teamwork, we had a successful AD&D. People are happy with the door gift, food, wines were aplenty, timing were okey & everything went quite well.

Each of us were given diffrent responsibilities. My dept was in-charge with F&B & awards ceremony. Others were door-gifts, liasing with the hoteliers, getting rooms for changing clothes, renting of costumes for the committees and top managements, getting the approval for budgeting, etc. It is good becos all of us can work amicably.

Our menu for the nite was fusion, we had OW special hot & cold-combination, potato salad, creamy mushroom soup with garlic bread, crispy chicken roulade with BBQ sauce, baked seabass fillet with honey, stuffed mushroom with abalone sauce, baked prawns with cheese sauce, fried speghetti with chicken & mushroom and lastly bread and butter pudding...its a 7 course meal.

Three make-up artists came to dress us up and were happy with the results. Everyone looked nice & pretty.

I didn't get to wear my mask much cos we were busy with the award ceremony presentation. I get to collect my 15years service award too. I enjoyed myself.

This mask comes without a stick, i improvise it by putting a stick to it cos i'm wearing my specs....too bad i couldn't use it much that nite.

Happy New Yeah 2010

Huby insists that we celebrate new year this year by the beach...n i have no qualms about it as i lurve beaches, hehehe.

We planned ahead & decided that its gonna be a leasure drive. We started off not too early. Made a stop at Kuala Kangsar (my first ever trip there) to tryout the famous Laksa melayu. I got a map from a fren but conviniently left it at home. But huby said he wanna try find it ourselves.

Before eating, we made a stop at one of the oldest rubber tree in Malaysia. The tree is more the 100years old. Took sum pictures for rememberance and head-off to the laksa place.

Yes, we made it. Its a small eatary food court near the handcrafted area & its also near the river bank . We ordered a plate of laksa, a plate of pasembor and a bowl of cendol to be shared...(cos we need to save some space in our stomach for the nasi kandar, hehehe).

Yes!! The Laksa is truly out of the odinary. There're different from the ones you had in Klang Valley. Its 'sedap'. And so is the pasembor & also the cendol. It is also cheap. After food, we head straight to Penang.

Upon reaching Penang, we'd thot we'd tryout Nasi Kandar Line Clear......but it was sooo hot that day and the queue is long we decided to eat at NK Yasmin.

Stayed at the newly renovated & refurbished Flamingo Hotel. Spend some few minutes at Hard Rock Hotel but didn't get to buy anything at their merchandise store...sigh....nothing interest me.

We celebrated New Yeah at the hotel lounge . Guests were given party-pack & the hotel had firecracker during the countdown & they put on 80's music which we enjoyed till after midnite.

We were supposed to stay in Penang for three nites but we cut short it to two nites only cos Bee wasn't feeling too well. Nevertheless, i enjoyed the outing very very much & am thankful 2 Bee cos at the same time i get to de-stressed myself by lepaqing by d beach & eating nasi kandar, hehehe...

Chocolates...

Here are some chocolates that we get. Have u tried this one? Its very very sweet...in fact i think its too sweet for my liking.

This is new addition from d cad*ury family. This is too sweet for my liking too.

Want some biscuits in your chocolate? You may like this one.

New kid in town... in miniatures... I seriously do not like Hers*ye's. I think the quality of their chocolate is not that good.

Been awhile..

It has been awhile since i last blogged. I've been very very busy and didn't have much time to blog. Been busy at the office that by the time i go home, i do not have the mood to blog, just needed the rest.

I just want to post some photos. My relatives from KB came down to KL for school holidays and as usual hubby & I will invite them to our house for some get-together 'makan-makan'.

I invited them for dinner. I just cooked some very simple dishes, 'Ayam Masak Merah', 'Dalca Terong & Ubi Kentang', Mixed Vege, & Tumeric Prawns. All i cooked by myself with some help for my dearest hubby.

And for supper, its home-made Cheese Cake which i topped it up with sliced peaches & some currypuff & guava fruits dipped with 'rojak' sauce.

Later its photo time.

I've been eyeing my eyes on LongChamp handbags....i lurve them cos its mostly can be used for casual. They've got same range but with small/medium/large sizes with short/long handles, plenty of colourful ones and the best i loike about it is, its canvas like which is also water-proof. I managed to get a very good price from a blog.

A colleague of mine is also interested with the bag and so we bought it from the same blogger. She's a local who travels abroad and hence got us these bags at a steal.

Visit her blog : http://smashing-pit-stop.blogspot.com/

Nowadays, i not only used it during weekends but also on a weekday...
