Movie & Dinner

Its midweek but we surely don't wanna miss, Wolverine-X-Men Origin, the movie. We meet up at S.Pyramid. And its a lucky day for us cos there are tickets available. Padahal earlier, i tried 'on-line' to book movie tickets but it fully booked.

Before the movie, we all went for early dinner at S.Zanmai. Man, all of us were famished, this is wat we ordered!!.....oh no....i accidentaly deleted d photos of our food...damn!!

Anyway, movie was good. Lotsa of action sequences, the usual mix of chases, fights and bangs. The most remarkable thing for S and me is Wolverine's amount of muscle on display in the movie...hehehe...if u know what i mean...

And after movie, we all went back home cos tomoro is a working day...

CJ7 & Hong Kong Delights

Happy Valentines Day!! I took leave today, need the break especially after the conference last month. Went to OU and get ourselves tickets to watch CJ7 since both of us are fan of Stephen Chow. Its about Stephen Chow who plays a poor father who can't afford to buy toys for his son. He then decided to pick one out from the garbage. It turns out to be a magical toy from outer space. From there, the adventure begins.

I think we put our hopes too high. Of course 'Kungfu Hustle' is great but emm...yeah there were a few laffable moments but not enough punch. There scenes were enought to make us forget after the movie. Probably cos we're too busy looking at the sub-titles. But the movie is so-so lar.

After movie, we planned to have lunch at the food-court, Arena. There is a new stall, Hong Kong Delight that offers dim-sum. My bro-inlaw recommended the place and said the dim-sum is good so we thot we'd try out. We ordered prawn cheong-fun, siew mai, century egg porridge, steam beancurd roll and fried cheese stick. There were delicious!! It is the same quality that we get if we eat dim-sum at a hotel. I think we'll definately to there again if we have dim-sum fever! Too bad the restaurant at Giant Kelana Jaya, named 'Chi' has closed down. If we have the cravings, we'd usually go there. But since we have Hong Kong Delights, we might drop by when the cravings comes, hehehe.

The Golden Compass

Bee n i took leave cos needed to recuperate from lost of sleep from saturday and sunday. But rain or shine, we still woke up at 7am. Last nite bee n i decided to take our 3 cousins for a movie since both of us not doing anything n its school holiday n d kids going back to their hometown. Had light breakfast at Restoran Jamal in KJ and fetched 2 boys n 1 girl (2 teenagers n 1 10 yrs old). Went to OU and catch the 11am show.

The Golden Compass, featuring Daniel Craig, Nicole Kidman & Dakota Blue Richards. Synopsis :
The story concerns Lyra Belaqua, an orphan living in a fantastical parallel universe in which the dogmatic dictatorship of the Magisterium threatens to dominate the world. When Lyra's friend is kidnapped, she travels to the far North in an attempt to rescue him and rejoin her uncle.
She begins a mighty journey to save the universe after learning that a valuable microscopic particle is under attack.

Hmmm...how should i review abt this movie?? I personally think its a draggy movie. Sooo boring. So far nothing beats Lord of the Ring trilogy. It has many fasinating elements but lack of flair, no punches, no 'ummph'. At the end of the movie, its 'hanging'. I think it definately gonna have a continuation. But it does make my 10 yrs old cousin S fasinated by the film's. I just enjoyed a scene where 2 polar bears fight against each other...the fight was cool!!

After movie, went for lunch. Since the other 2 kids from KB seldom get to eat fast food, they chose to have Pizza. Took them to Shakeys Pizza. After lunch, jalan-jalan and took the kids to One World hotel to have a look-around.

Later had Mcflurry, Chocolate Sundae and Cornetto Sundae at McDonalds before we all left home. But not before going for 1 animal-ride in OU...gosh...i donno wat got into me....i was in those rides....malu....tapi best gak....hehehe

Balls of Fury

Caught another morning show on Sunday, Balls of Fury. This time at TGV, Sunway Pyramid.

Come and watch this hillarious action packed comedy. Staring Christopher Walken, Maggie Q and some new actors. The plot :-

A former professional Ping-Pong phenomenon Randy Daytona is determind to bounce back and recapture his former glory. He attempts to recapture his former glory but is soon confronted by the FBI Agent Rodriguez and asked to go undercover to smoke out a notorious criminal and ping-pong lord called Feng. Because he is so rusty at Ping Pong, the FBI agent decided to get help from the spiritual guidance of blind Ping-Pong sage and restaurateur Wong, and the training expertise of Master Wong's niece Maggie, both of whom also have a dark history with Feng. All roads lead to Feng's mysterious jungle compound and the most unique Ping-Pong tournaments ever staged. There, Randy faces such formidable players as his long-ago Olympics opponent, the vicious Karl Wolfschtagg.

Well, there are enough laugh to make this a 'feel-good' movie. We enjoyed it. Head to Deli-France Bistro for lunch and enjoy their 'worth-every penny' set-lunch.
