Nilai Springs Resort

I didn't know this place existed till last monday when i had to attend a 2 days teambuilding & workshop for the PAs. The hotel is not bad lah.

There were 15 of us. We went with 2 mini-vans. Reached hotel at 10am and checked in. By 10:30 all of us were already at the lobby for our first half teambuilding. The first round we had break-the-ice activities which we had do much laugh. The next activity were 'stepping stone, tyre crossing, ayun bridge and commando walk. The obstacle wasn't tough but we have to learn about strategic planning, open communication, thinking out of the box and lotsa teamwork.

After lunch we all had to continue our second round outdoor activities. We had minefield crossing which requires communication, planning and execution. This is my second time doing the minefield and it is also the first time i came across a very unique way of crossing the mines. After that we had high-ropes and flying fox (which i didn't do due to my ankle).

Before dinner, since we have about 2 hours of rest, my roomate & i sempat lagi go to the pool for a dip....actually it was a jacuzzi...total massage...

Dinner was at the hotel's japanese fine-dining restaurant....too bad the food was not up to my standard plus the service is s...l....o...w....

After dinner, we all adjourned to the lounge for some drinks and live-band. We didn't stay up till late cos the live band were....yawn--yawn....

The next day, we had a little outdoor activity.

Went to the driving range which is only a 3 minutes walking distance from the hotel. Each person were given about 100 golf-balls to hit. It was quite fun becos most of us had never hold a golf-club before and its not easy okey. The instructor gave us a few tips but we aint avid golfers...so we don't put much interests lah...hehehe.. Lastly we all did our 'war-cry'...."GO-GO POWER PA"...wohooo...

After bathing in the hot sun, we all went back to our rooms to refresh ourselves and change into our corporate outfits (which we bought at Dorothy Perkins). Went for a short workshop. We all received a certificate each from the event organiser for completing the outdoor obstacles. Last session was congratulation each other with hugs and pat at the back for job well done!!

I had so much fun, as usual i get to de-stress and also did a lot of bonding with other PAs from other department.

Tis pic is me with my new cropped hair.... hehehe...

First day team building

We left office around 9am and all of us wore our department t-shirt. Make a stop at a nearby mamak shop for b'fast. Reached PD within 1 and a half time. Its a good day to travel cos its not hot but then it was drizzling.

Checked-in and meet up for lunch. We ordered ala-carte and shared a delicious banana-split...imagine 8 of us shared 1 ice-cream?!! But if was fun and everybody get to taste. We were kinda stucked in the hotel cos it was raining. Alas, we unanimously decided that we go for our water activities in d rain.

First, we went for kayaking. A pair with each kayak. Altho it rain but the sea-waves were not that strong, so we can kayak safely.

After kayak, we all went for a banana-boat ride. Its my first time and i enjoyed it sooo much!!...i was having so much fun, i had to wave to the camera in tis pic...hehehe...

Our last water activity, a speed-boat bumpy-ride , we had to be split into 2 groups cos the boat can only take 4 passengers. The driver took us to a place where they have corals and we're supposed to feed the fishes. I tink we were sorta 'conned' ....cos there wasn't any fish....or maybe d fish didn't wanna come up cos its was raining??

After all the activities, we all went back to our rooms to refresh ourselves. Went to Legend Water Chalet (which is about 20min drive from our hotel) to have our dinner. Food was not that good but the place is nice tho'.

After diner and back to our hotel, we went to check out their lounge cos they have a live-band that nite. Coincidently, the hotel top management was having a 'screen-test', to choose a suitable live-band for their hotel. The GM, F&B, Sales Director was there to entertain us too. So some of our drinks were on the house!!

I loike d lounge cos its by d beach side...and so its breezy. We stayed till after midnite.

Day Two and Day Three of our Teambuilding

Our second day of teambuiling were at Eagle Ranch, Port Dickson. Its a 15mins drive from our hotel. Tis place is known for its teambuilding activities.

Today, we're supposed to do a 20 obstacles teambuilgin and one of them is absailing. I was sooo determine todo absailing (when i was in KL lah) but in the end, when i reached the place, i was very very reluctant becos i was afraid for my ankle plus i also chiken out lah....hehehe.... The height of the thing is quite scarry woh (not sumtin dat i had in mind). In the end only 3 people from our team did it!!. Hats-off to them for having the guts todo it, one of em is of course lah our ahboss.

After absalling we had to complete another 19 obstacles. I only did those which will not hurt/aggrivate my ankle. It was so much fun cos we all get to destressed ourselves.

Later we were taken for a horse ride and go-kart, (2 of the sports that i'm familiar with). Lastly we did treasure hunt. All the activities were supposed to end in the evening but we managed to complete all within half a day (a record time...wink*wink*hahahaha...)

We all had lunch at a cafe at Eagle Ranch. Reached our hotel around 3pm. Since its still early, some of us decided to play Pictionary. Our boss and 2 of our collegues didn't join....but we had so much fun playin'. We gave ourselves 1 and a half hour to play. Later 3 of us went to the pool for a nice dip before we get ready for dinner at the so called famous seafood restaurant....but we get to see beutiful sunset from our restaurant.

After dinner, we adjourned to the coffeehouse for our Haagan Daz Banana Split (2nd time, d concotion is delicious, hence we wanted to have it again). After ice-cream, we all lepaq at the lounge to listen to the live-band. A 3 piece guy band.....

The next day, the 4 of us woke up early to go for 'power-walk'.... to explore the beach and hotel's front area. After the walk, we adjourned for breakfast. Go back to our rooms and pack. Had lunch at the hotel's chinese restaurant, complimenary for the F&B Mgr.

Left the hotel around 2pm and reached our office safely. It was a heck of a teambuilding & we enjoyed 'em to the max!!
