We have now crossed the new Hijrah year of 1430, Bee and i are wishing muslims all over the world Happy Maal Hijrah. May all Muslims all over the world be blessed with good health, wealth, happiness and PEACE.
"Selamat Menyambut Maal Hijrah 1430. Semoga kita semua di-kurniakan kesihatan, di-tetapkan iman, di-limpah dengan rezeki yang mewah lagi halal dan mendapat keamanan sejagat, insyallah. Amin, Amin Ya Rabbal Alamin."
Altho i'm deeply sadden by the recent war between Palestine & Israel, while other big countries just sit down and do nothing, i prayed that someone or something put a stop to this conflict. Condemn the Israelis for declaring war.
A personal review/views/opinion. Anything under the sun can be d daily dose of my blog. I am not a writer hence my blogs are short and simple ramblings...

Woke up quite out of the norm....8:30am!!! Thot of staying at home jer but decided that we got to see the world!! Went for a quick breakfast at Restaurant FAM...i had curry mihun while bee had fried kway teow. Reached Ikea parking around 1pm and there were a massive-massive jam just on the way to One Utama and The Curve...
Jalan-jalan and thot of eating at Bubba but changed our mind cos i really feel like eating Speghetti. Saw Vivo.....hey this place not bad lah. The food is good and reasonable.

Bee had Chicken & Mushroom Baked Speghetti (RM10.80)
I had Ice-blended Choco Brownies Mallows (RM8.80) and Bee had Sprite (RM2.90).
We're definately coming again to this place. Must try their pizza and western range.
Dinner at Bagan Lalang
On Xmas eve, bee and i had to send out aunty to LCCT with her maid and nephew cos they're going to Kota Bharu for the long holidays. Coincidently our couple fren A&S ajak us to this new seafood place. They went once and wanted us to go tryout. Since we're already around the sepang area we said okey.
The name of the place is Restoran Bagan Lalang Seaview at Bagan Lalang, Sepang. During weekends they said, the place is full of people. But since its xmas eve, the place were not that packed. We were famished and so we ordered a lot of food. You choose the raw food and what type of cooking that you need and in 15-20 minutes time all the dishes will come.
Sweet Sour Seabass (Siakap)....good, i liked when the fish is not too fishy.
Spicy Lala, the lala is fresh and you can taste its fresh meat
Spicy Siput Buluh
Kangkung Belacan, ok-ok lah
'Ketam Goreng Tepung'
'Sotong Goreng Tepung'
Spicy Crab
I think tis is the furthest place that we had dinner with them. Afterward, we adjouned to A&W PJ for some waffles & ice-cream for dessert. Gosh, from one end to another!!!
We're quite turned off when we saw the crowd last nite...the queue was horrible!! But since we're there already, might as well join in the queue kan.
We chatted and chatted and drove back an hour after midnite and reached home around 2:15am!!

Yes Man
Yes Man is a movie with Jim Carrey casting. I'm no fan of Jim but i did watch him in action on some movies, eg. Batman (where he was the Riddler), Fun with Dick & Jane and Lemony's Snickets. I don't fancy him in Ace Ventura, The Grinch and The Mask....he's irritating.
You guys gotta watch this movie...its hillarious!! Its really really funny!! MUST WATCH!!
Genre : Comedy
The Plot : The story centers on a man who decides to change his life by saying yes to everything that comes his way.
"Yes Man" stars Jim Carrey as Carl Allen, a guy whose life is going nowhere - the operative word being "no" - until he signs up for a self-help program based on one simple covenant: say "yes" to everything and anything. Unleashing the power of "YES" begins to transform Carl's life in amazing and unexpected ways, getting him promoted at work and opening the door to a new romance. But his willingness to embrace every opportunity might just become too much of a good thing.
Verdict : 5 star!!! Best funny movie to end the year of 2008.

Mantra Restaurant
We're having 'Indian' food for xmas tis time and i'm glad there's no objection from the rest. Its a restaurant in Sunway Pyramid overlooking the lagoon. They serve fine-dining, Northern Indian and some popular asian cuisine.
Their chicken tandoori, butter chicken, soft Naan bread and briyani is delicious. We also ordered tomyam soup and pineapple fried rice which is also delicious. Their special 'papadom' is really good too, its on the house.

Xmas xchange gift
We had our xmas xchange gift today. This is the 2nd year we had it. One of our colleague was on leave, she took time off to come back to the office and brought her cute son. We had our xchange gift in one of our meeting rooms. The gift have to be in the range of RM15-Rm20, non edible and no Hinode items...hehehe...
I got a spoon-rest and a decorative plate (from MO)
JJ got a cool toothbrush holder (from ME)
LL got a handycraft bag (from ahboss)
Ahboss got a set of bottles (from me)
LL got a handycraft bag (from ahboss)
Ahboss got a set of bottles (from me)
Oya, we decided to give ahboss a very very belated bday gift. I went with bee to search for it at Parkson One Utama. Since he wore cuff-link, we bought one for him. A 'Pierre-Balmain'...and he loved it!!
I think most of us liked our gifts and the xhchange were quite fun altho this year we forgot to put up the xmas tree in our department....due to busy deadlines with the closing month-end and upcoming conference next month...
Later we all went to Sunway Pyramid for lunch.

Transporter 3
Who ever wonder that Transporter franchise can make movie till number 3? How could bee and i missed this movie cos we've been following its first and second movie. Furthermore the actor Jason Statham memang best...too bad he didn't get the part to be James Bond.
The plot (cut & paste from google) : Frank Martin (Jason Statham) has been pressured into transporting Valentina (Natalya Rudakova), the kidnapped daughter of Leonid Vasilev (Jeroen Krabbe), through the use of a device attached to his wrist which will explode if Frank goes more than 75 feet from his car. Vasilev is the head of the Environmental Protection Agency for Ukraine. He must travel from Marseilles through Stuttgart and Budapest until he ends up in Odessa on the Black Sea. With the help of Inspector Tarconi (Francois Berleand), Frank must contend with the people who strong-armed him into taking the job, agents sent by the Ukraine government to intercept him, and the general non-cooperation of his passenger. Despite Valentina's cynical disposition and Frank's resistance to get involved, Frank and Valentina fall for each other, while escaping from one life-threatening situation after another. Statham again drives an armored Audi A8 W12 in the film.
Verdict : ok-ok lar. The action was sorait and the storyline was fine. I enjoyed it nevertheless.

Aeon Setiawanga AU2
ME was so happy that yesterday was a public holiday (in the mid-week). Huby drove us to the new Jusco at Setiawangsa (he just loved checking out new places). We took my parents there. After breakfast at Pelita SS2, we took a 45minutes drove to KL town.
The mall is sort of in the middle of a housing area. Its quite nice, altho its not as big at Aeon Bukit Tinngi but its still very spacious. Different concept altogether. I liked the way they layout the restaurants, fastfood on the ground floor at the inner and outer mall. There's so many places to dine with lotsa lotsa choices. Few new eatery places too if you wanna checkout, eg. Satay Club, Madam Lim's, Boston, Steven's, etc. They even have Wendy's....and the usual Big Apple, Johnny's, etc..etc..
Outdoor parking
Indoor parking
View from the inside of the mall
View from 2nd floor
We didn't eat there cos we went to Semua House after that cos mama wanna go shopping at Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman. We had lunch at Insaf Restaurant.....as usual....tak insaf-insaf nak makan kat sana. Food is still good tho'.
We left KL town at 4pm to beat the traffic that had already started. And the weather is very gloomy in the evening.
Last Saturday we checked out the new Giant which just opened at Kota Damansara....wah liao....quite nice wooo... Considering Giant is usually typically hypermarketty but this time its mall concept, 'boleh-tahan' lah. Spacious and many many shops to venture inside. Got J-Co Donut and Wendy's...not bad!! Coincidently J-Co was giving away some samples for customers and we (plus my parents) get to eat their free samples....
