My first time to Sepang International Circuit

Yes, it is my first time to set foot in Sepang International Circuit. Never had the chance to come to this place where its famous for its F1. Thanks to ****** for giving hubby the complimentary tix.

But i'm here to see Super GT International Series (Autobacs). What is it? The Super GT series, formerly known as the All-Japan Grand Touring Car Championship is a grand touring car race series promoted by the GT-Association.

Good hot weather but quite a long-good walk from the parking area to the track area. The paddock building was abuzz with activities as journalists and photographers from all across the world arrived, for the support racers and SuperGT. All busy with shooting and of course, here, the GT girls and GT Queens who are so-ready to pose for you.

Its is said, its Japan’s hottest and most happening racing series, the SuperGT International Series at the Sepang International Circuit. The cars are divided into two groups: GT500 and GT300. And there are plenty of sporty cars on displays too.

Race fans will be able to watch it from the main-grandstand or in the suite. We are so lucky to get the suite as it is 'damn' hot/humid and 'damn' noisy!!

It is so comfy watching from inside the suite, there's flat screen TV for you to check on the points/laps. Its air-conditioned and there's not much noise from the race-track. Plus food are provided for (lunch & tea) with comfy seats too. And you can order any drinks you'd like....coke, sprite, coffee/tea...u name it!

Overall, i enjoyed the outing and am glad we made the trip to Sepang. I get to experience the paddock, the car-race & people etc.

Visiting & Anniversary Dinner

Yesterday was a pack day for me. Fetched my parents and left for Punc*k Alam around 1pm. My bro & his wife tag along. My parents planned that we visit mama's bro who's staying there. We reached the place quite late cos my parents had to attend to a wedding first.

Once we reached uncle Y & anty R's house, we were ushered to the dining hall. Anty R has prepared all the delicious food. I missed her sedap dishes. We loved her 'kampung' main dishes that day which is kerabu taugeh & kerang, masak lemak ikan kering & terong, dhall sayur, sambal belacan & ulam2, tenggiri goreng sweet/sour & ayam goreng for my bro who juz can't live without chiken...

Its been a long time since we all last met them so its a nice weekend that mama has arranged for us (anak-beranak) go and visit them.

After lunch, coffee/tea & keropok & watermelon were served. Later we all 'sembang-sembang' & left the house juz before asar.

At nite, we took our parents for their anniversary dinner at Na*do's. (only two people lost weight in this pic, bee & my sis-inlaw....while the other two has gained weight tremendously..hehehe). Went to Sub.Parde....and the place were full. With h1n1 pun, people still wanna go out and shop kan.

After diner, i had to leave cos i promised to bake a cake for the office....for saje-saje. Tried baking semolina cake (also known as sugee cake). I got tis recipe from a recipe book which hubby bought for me in 1997. Its from a renowned person, Zakiah Hanum. I muz tell you all, don't trust that book. My cake turned our dry and hard....i dono what went wrong...how could it be wrong izen it??? Arrgghhh.....!!!!

Above all tis, its a nice sunday for me.

Sunday activities & outing

Last sunday, my sis-inlaw and me woke up at 6:30am to set up table and prepare the ingredient to make for breakfast. I taught SIL how to make pancake while i made pita-bread filling. After preparing the ingredient, by 7:15am, we woke our husbands up and make a drive to KJ's lake for some exercise.

It was a good day, it juz rained at dawn and by the time we went for our morning walks, it was breezy and cooling. So many people at the lake doing some light jogging, exercise and running. By 8:30am, we were already at home to preparing the end-product of our breakfastand had our breakfast at 9:30am, with my parents.

We had our pancakes with butter & honey. While i made 2 types of pita fillings (mashed boiled eggs and black pepper chicken fillet). This week, we're going for western breakfast....maybe next week....local breakfast?? The breakfast was kinda heavy but hopefully healthy lah..hehehe..

After breakfast, bee & i went to Curve for our weekend window-shopping and to meet our couple good frens. Had our lunch at MFM and catch up with latest news. So much fun goin out with them, so much things to share and by late evening, we all went back to our homes.

Happy Labour Day..Happy Holiday..yay..

Happy Labour Day. I always looked forward for holidays...especially if it falls on Friday....horray. That means i only get to work 4 days a week this week....best!!

Fetched my parents before noon. Took them to Putrajaya, just to jalan-jalan and to show them Pullman hotel. My parents appreciates its building architechture. We brought them to all the hotel wings and make them pant walking..hehehe...

Later, huby drop mama and me at Souq cos papa n him gotta go for friday prayers. After the prayers, we took them to Alamanda for lunch. This is the first time we took our parents to Black Canyon, bee's treat. Since papa wanna eat rice for lunch, we ordered rice wif dishes. Papa is all praise for their food and we will take them to this restaurant again for its ala-carte.

After jalan-jalan or so, we took them back home for them to rest. While bee and me continued our journey to a warehouse sale in Puchong. M called and said the t-shirts here are cheap and we all managed to get a few of the lot....hehehe..

For dinner, papa treated us at Pelita restaurant. Bee took us to the subang jaya branch, he liked the environment there. We ordered simples dishes and i tried its new tea with brown sugar...sedap!! We all had desserts at home.....durian with putu-mayam & fresh milk...perghhh, sedap!!

After diner, we went back home juz in time to watch the One in a Million. When the emcee announced that Esther votes is ahead of the rest, i must confess that i voted for Tomok!! Yes, true, Esther is good but if you watch the transformation of Tomok since he first joined, u'll be impressed with his improvement. I don't care what people said, i voted him and i'm glad that he won cos he deserved it!!

My saturday

Last saturday we went to Midvall*y Mega mall. Reached there before noon and went to the newly renovated Oasis Food Court.

Its new, of courselah its nice kan! I liked its 'green' color concept. They've got plenty of seats and more bright compared to the old Oasis.

We ordered white rice with Portugese style 'Ikan Pari' masak asam becos i missed this stall's food.

After lunch, we jalan-jalan The G*rdens. There were Mac's launch on 'Hello Kitty'. There were full of people....so i thot maybe i'll come back later. After about 2-3 hours, there were still many people but i managed to squeeze thru its cute stage. Unfortunately everybody was busy and they don't have time to entertain me. But a girl came and approach me....i told her i'm interested to know more about its latest product but she could not get an artist to attend to me....sigh... Later she got someone to guide me to its boutique....and unfortunately...its blusher is out of stock...sob...sob...sob... I so liked its blusher. I didn't wanna buy their lipsticks cos I still have d ol'Mac plus i only liked the compact blusher!!! I went back disappointed.

Later in the evening, we went to The Cur*e. Jalan-jalan and supposedly to meet our couple fren for dinner but my mom called and said she needed me cos an aunty came from Ipoh and mom need my help....

My weekend

Last saturday bee's twin came and stayed with us for a nite with her two boys. We went to many malls in the Klang valley cos she's a shopaholic. For me, i dun mind cos i like to 'jalan-jalan'. The rawas said 'melotek'..hehehe... We went to OU and then had dinner at Uptown.

On Sunday we went to 4 malls in one day. Our last stop was to Teapot Deli at the SA*C Mall. It was such a coincident for this two twins cos both of them wanted to eat scones....with cream & jam, hence the stop to this deli.

The ambiance of the place is very cozy and with friendly service and with good food.

And ordered scones they did. I had their very tasty bread with eggs, cheese & onions and the kids had fish n chips, garlic toast & chocolate cake. All with a cup of 'English breakfast' tea.

And i must confessed, the meals were all delicious. They have another branch in SS2 called Teapot Cafe.

Saturday 31st January 2009

Went to One Utama, met Ila & family and K.Ngah and family. We were at One Utama from 12:30pm to 5:30pm. Most of the time making our way shopping for necessary stuff before the sale ends. Sempat lagi take the time to drop by Baskin Robins for their 31 discount ice-creams. Later everyone departs back to our own destinations.

By 8:00pm, bee and me went to One Utama again. Treating our parents and my bro & SIL to have diner at Johnny's. After dinner and jalan-jalan at the old wings, papa said he wants to treat us banana-split at A&W PJ. We adjourned and left nearly midnite!!

Happy Federal Territory Day!!

10:15am - went to SACC Mall, Shah Alam. After getting what i wanted, we left to KL

12:00pm - reached Hornbill Restaurant for our brunch.

1:30pm - went to park our car a Semua House. I wanna start early and so i need to get some fabrics for this year's Hari Raya at the famous Jalan TAR. I'm trying not to do it last minute. After getting the fabrics, bee suggested we go somewhere else, he said the day is still early to go home.

2:30pm - reached Pavillion. I thot Tangs were having a sale, boy was i wrong, they end their sale end last two weeks ago.

3:30pm - got out of Pavillion. Bee drove to Bukit Tuanku, wanted to have tea at the small quiant cafe but unfortunately its closed! So we left that place and it started to rain.

4:00pm - parking was easy in Ikea. Yes, we are walking at The Curve. But i guess there's nothing interesting for us there. so we left.

5:30pm - believe it or not, we're now at One Utama. I got what i wanted at Jusco and left home around 7:00pm.

Wow!! What a day!! Luckily traffic were a breeze, they weren't many cars so there wasn't much tension on the road. I salute bee cos he really is 'Mr. Highway Man'...

BBQ Chicken

BBQ Chicken is a fast-food joint. Its a new eatery place located at the new wing, just opposite Giant (which has been closed) in One Utama mall.

Saw this place during Ramadhan but had the chance to tryout last Saturday. Had our lunch there.

Nice place lah....of course lah cos its new. (Service is quite slow tho')

Both of us tried their combo. A value for money of main dish and soft drinks. But we ordered an extra dish which is their soup.

The portions is very generous and you will be very full after you finished the course. I especially enjoyed its soup and coleslaw, memang sedap!!

At the moment, the combo dishes are at promotion price. I suppose the food is good lar...but i guess we won't be going to this place again. Probably cos the place is not that strategic. But i'm guessing that once One Utama management revamp the area to be an eatery area, it should do well. Since Giant has been closed, it has been replaced by Cold Storage...yahoo!!
