Happy Anniversary Bee

Both of us enjoyed music and lately we've been listening to old music which includes Brian McKnight, Shanice, Color Me Badd, Chaka Khan to name a few. At the moment we've been frequently listening to Luther Vandross and i juz wana put down the lyrics cos the song is nice.

Since it coincide with my 11th year anniversary, i'm dedicating this song to US.

Here and Now – Luther Vandross

One look in your eyes and there I see
Just what you mean to me
Here in my heart I believe
Your love is all I'll ever need
Holdin' you close through the night
I need you, yeah
I look in your eyes and there I see
What happiness really means
The love that we share
makes life so sweet
Together we'll always be
This pledge of love feels so right
And, ooh, I need you

Here and now
I promise to love
faithfully (Faithfully)
You're all I need
Here and now
I vow to be one with thee
(You and me),hey
Your love is all (I need) I need

Say, yeah, yeah...
When I look in your eyes, there I'll see
All that a love should really be
And I need you more and more each day
Nothin' can take your love away
More than I dare to dream
I need you

Here and now
I promise to lovefaithfully (Faithfully)
You're all I need
Here and nowI vow to be one with thee
(You and me), yeahYour love is all I need

Dept Team Lunch

Today we had department team lunch. this time the Sales Director signed the bill. We had lunch at The Emperor Chinese Restaurant in Sheraton Subang, all 8 of us, 6 girls and 2 males.

Its sort of a special lunch for SOD as the SD wanna thanked us for our support to the Sales team and also to announced that the company did well for the year. Hopefully the support staff get to go to a nice place for incentive trip next year. As for the Sales Force team, they get to choose between New York, London or Japan for their incentive trip. We are happy that we achieved target again this year. Thanks to everyones' effort in the company as a whole. We had :-
Emperor 3 hot & cold combination.

Braised Fresh Scallop soup with spinach juice (green colour soup? but sedap!!)

Deep Fried Chicken with mango thai sauce (i've never enjoyed fried chic, but this is really nice!)

Stir Fried Prawn with marmite sauce

Braised Sea Cucumber with Black Mushrooms with Brocolli (the brocolli is a bit too hard)

Steam Cod Fish with Oyster Sauce (must order this dish cos its my fave)

Fried Rice with garlic, diced chicken & silver anchovies (by the time it came, tummy full oredi)

Steamed eye bean with read bean paste (don't really fancy this dessert but i still ate it!)

Beside discussing about next year's plans, SD also elaborate and explained to us regarding the rumours about our product patent expiry, etc. Finished our lunch at 2:30pm.

Mr. Magorium's Emporium

Went to TGV and watched Mr. Magorium Wonder Emporium. Hmmm....how shall i review this movie...

First of all, it has strong casting, Dustin Hoffman, Natalie Portman and Justine Bateman. Its about ....haiya i so lazy wana review about the movie. Unfortunately i think the movie just so average. I think it lack of amazement, very bland and not much of excitement.

Sigh, I'll just cut n paste the synopsis from yahoo.com. It says :-

"Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium is the strangest, most fantastic, most wonderful toy store in the world. In fact, it's a magic toy store and everything in it comes to life--including the store itself. The emporium asks only one thing of its customers--you must believe it to see it".

I guess the movie caters more to young children who enjoys colourful toyland movie. But as an adult, bee & i don't really enjoy the movie. I thot it was only half-way thru when suddenly it came to an end??? Duh??? Its just not right to end it like that....it doesn't have a strong ending...in my opinion lar. Maybe others might enjoyed it....but nope, not us.

Bee's commented at the end of the movie, he said "What a dumb Mr. Magorium".....hahaha, i was laughing out loud....come to think of it, it is quite dumb.

Trip to Pavillion

Finally went to Pavillion yesterday. After having breakfast at Kayu, we head to KL city at 9.15am. Actually bee & me got a free ticket to watch any movies at the new GSC in Pavillion. We thot of taking the opportunity to go and check out Pavillion as well.

It was leisure drive, with a minor traffic jam at the Federal Highway, took the Smart Tunnel for a smooth ride and reached the mall at 10am plus. Went straight to GSC at Level 5 and redeem our tickets. We thot of watching The Transformers again. The show was at 12:20pm, so we had plenty of time to walk around the mall.

The first thing we must do is to head straight to Tangs Pavillion. Tastefully decorated and has private seating area for customers. Of courselah they have the latest collection and fashion. Being in Tangs itself, we felt like we're in Singapore. So happy to see Perllini. I used to buy their handbag range so yesterday sempat lagi buy one casual everyday 'black' handbag. psss....the best thing is, i don't have to pay for it...hehehe...

Pavillion is huge and nice plus they've got many shops. To me the environment is different from Star Hill or Suria KLCC. We didn't get the chance to visit Parkson. But we make a stop at the supermarket, Marceto. They sell many imported grocerries just like what Cold Storage can offer.

Most of all, we simply loved the food court, Food Republic. After the movie, we decided to eat and see what the food court can offer. There are so many choices, lotsa variety. The seating place is so exclucive. I had Ipoh Mihun Soup while Bee had Curry Mee. Its truly sedap! Before we left, we bought some bread from The Lavender Bakery. And also some Cakoi and Butterfly from a stall. Left the place close to 5pm. I must mentioned here that the parking ticket on weekend is quite pricey. We paid RM10 for the parking ticket. But Bee said its worth it!!

I liked the place. Too bad its far from our home. But we'll definately make more trips there.

Happy Birthday Papa

17th November 2007 was the day we celebrated Papa's birthday. He is 64 years old. May Allah blessed him with abundance of good health, long-live, peace of mind, great wealth and loads of happiness.

I've always been my dad's daughter. I'm much more like him rather then my mom. I have most traits like him, eg. soft-spoken, lotsa humour, loving and much more humble (maybe sometimes tak kena tempat oso). But i'm generous, which is so unlike him. I will get all worked-up if anybody makes fun of him or intimidate him or talks bad about him cos i know he's so harmless. I don't care if people fight with my mom or intimidate her cos i know she can just lash back at them or give them a piece of her mind. My papa is different, he's just so in-capable of talking back to people and usually prefers to keep quiet. But don't wake a tiger taking nap cos you don't know what its capable off...hehehe...

We all took him to Boston Grill in Cheras. He and bro had beef sirloin, huby n me had fish n chips, mom had fisherman's platter while sil had mushroom chicken mushroom. We ordered 3 bowls of mushroom soup which is shared per couple. Then we ordered chicken quasidilas for starter before goffing down the main dish. We purposely didn't wana order each bowl of soup cos we won't be enjoying the main dish. That too the starter has made us half full. Sayang, everytime i wana try their dessert, don't have the chance just becos there's no more room in our stomach...shish!!

Hey, some of our pics....

The 'Supreme Girls' ?? Ahaks!!

Boys to Men??? Ahaks...

After diner, since there's no room for desert, we present papa with a small round cheese-cake and sang for him. He's so happy. Its so easy to make my dad happy. You just buy him a shirt and he'll be very happy (BTW, he loves shirts!). He is a non-fussy-easy-living creature and my mom is just so lucky to have him. He's gentle and yet down-to-earth. Love you papa.

Papa blowing the candle from the tiny cheese cake.

Papa, malu-malu makan cake

The ever loving couple (i hope to grow old like them also, loving n caring). Papa is sharing his cake with his beloved wife...nak kena share jugak ke?? hehehe...

May Allah bless them with bundles of happiness always till eternity, Amin.

Food

Yes, its about food again. During our PA trip to Malacca, we went 'venturing-taste' to different places for food.

1st day, we had our lunch at Peranakan Restaurant. They served fried garoupa fish, telur dadar, nyonya-style fishball + kacang panjang curry, asam prawns, ayam ponteh, beef cooked nyonya style, fried four angle bean, etc. Not badlah. I enjoyed the squid and the fish mostly. After food, we had dessert, of courselah, cendol!! And i have to tell you, its really really out of this world!! The gula-melaka memang original!! We had doubles and triple helpings....i wish i can have it again!

For dinner, we went to the Portugese settlement to sample their kinda food. There were so much dishes that the committee ordered and its only RM300!! So cheap! We had 2 types of crab, prawns, fish, taufu, vege and mee.

2nd day, lunch at the coffee-house. Then dinner at the Japanese restaurant. I don't fancy the food cos the taste is not that tasty.

3rd day, lunch is at Sri Nyonya and we had the normal chinese cuisine.

Back to ofis have to start reducing food intake oredi....putting on the kilos oredi...
