When you look me in your eyes

Have you heard of The Jonas Brothers? Yep, me too. I was introduced by my niece who lives in Seremban. They're these young kids who have talents. I was mesmerised by this particular song. I don't think my era people would appreciate this song but i happened to like it. Its so nice to listen and the lyrics. I'm such a sentimental, so i wana dedicate this song to who else...bee...

When you look me in your eyes - Jonas Brothers

If the heart is always searching,
Can you ever find a home?
I've been looking for that someone,
I'll never make it on my own.
Dreams can't take the place of loving you,
There's gotta be a million reasons why it's true

When you look me in the eyes,
And tell me that you love me.
Everything's alright,
When you're right here by my side.
When you look me in the eyes,
I catch a glimpse of heaven.
I find my paradise,
When you look me in the eyes.

How long will I be waiting,
To be with you again
Gonna tell you that I love you,
In the best way that I can.
I can't take a day without you here,
You're the light that makes my darkness disappear.

When you look me in the eyes,
And tell me that you love me.
Everything's alright,
When you're right here by my side.
When you look me in the eyes,
I catch a glimpse of heaven.
I find my paradise,
When you look me in the eyes.

More and more, I start to realize,
I can reach my tomorrow,
I can hold my head high,
And it's all because you're by my side.

When you look me in the eyes,
And tell me that you love me.
Everything's alright,
When you're right here by my side.
When I hold you in my arms
I know that it's forever
I just gotta let you know
I never wanna let you go

Cause when you look me in the eyes.

And tell me that you love me.
Everything's alright,
When you're right here by my side.
When you look me in the eyes,
I catch a glimpse of heaven.
I find my paradise,
When you look me in the eyes. Oh

Centro Mall

Sunday, both of us thot why not make a trip to Centro Klang for lunch. Been wanting to go there for quite some time but haven't got the chance.

I donno whether it was me or the place but (no offense sweettooth), i don't like it!!....its practically dead to me if not for the Thai Fair. We were sort of totally lost!! Donno where and what to eat. Yes, there were few eatery places but we end up in Kenny Rogers...and the place is practically empty!!

(see bee's face, so muram and look at the background, nobody!! Just us and the waitresses. And this you're talking about sunday!!)

I'm sorry to the fans of Centro but i don't think i'll make a trip there again. Bee was so dissappointed, he said out of 10, he gave a one (1) only!!

Maria's Restaurant

I always looked forward (who doesn't?!!) for Saturdays and Sundays . If we don't have anyting to do during the weekend, i just loved spending time either go for movies or 'retail therapy' with bee or go grocerries shopping or etc. Sometimes we planned to go for makan at new places and sometimes we'll just go eat and ol'places.

Bee said he read in papers recently that Puan Seri Norashikin (wife of former speaker dewan rakyat Tan Sri Ramli Ngah Talib) officiated a new eatary place in Damansara Perdana. The name of the place is Maria's. Its located at the Citibank at the Metropolitan Square in bandar Damansara Perdana.

We reached Maria's for lunch time. Cozy and elegant ambiance. We were surprise to see that there were quite a number of people who comes in and dine there. We thot since the place is located on the 2nd floor, people might not wanna come but we're wrong.

Bee ordered Seafood Platter. He said the price is too expensive for a seafood platter that looked like this. Altho the taste is quite okey. He said the squid is quite soft and not too springy. Tho he wished they used sea-prawns instead of the rared one.

I ordered Hawaiian Chicken Chop. I like the chicken's batter, very crispy and the meat is tender. However, i don't fancy the gravy, i think it lacked of tomatoish taste. Plus point is their potato wedges are freshly fried.

We find the price of their main meals and fresh juices are reasonable.

After lunch, we both adjourned to One Utama. We had our desserts at The Waffle World. I just loved their banana caramel waffle with double scoop ice-cream, yummy!!

In the evening we took my parents to Uptown for dinner. Its been like 3-4 months since we last went. I so wanted to take pics of the food but we all were so hungry and i forgot all about it. Mama had mihun gorend with telor bungkus, Papa had mixed grill, Bee had nasi goreng and I had the famous Yong Tau Foo and Sotong Kangkung.

Later we drove my parent to Old Town White Coffee at Jaya One for their hot white coffee and ice-blended white coffee with roti bakar for supper, memang super!! Reached home nearly midnite!

Wanted (Movie)

Last friday bee asked me what i wanna do after work. Since my parents didn't call us for dinner, we have plenty of time in the evening but nothing to do. So i suggested if he's interested to go watch movie, friday nite mah! He agreed. And so we went to Sunway Pyramid and wat a luck we got tickets for the 7:40pm show.

Wanted is a movie starring Angelina Jolie, Morgan Freeman and John McAvoy. I just loved movies that shows tough women with guns and fight scenes...hehe...girl power!!

The plot (cut & paste) : 25-year-old Wes (James McAvoy) was the most disaffected, cube-dwelling drone the planet had ever known. His boss chewed him out hourly, his girlfriend ignored him routinely and his life plodded on interminably. Everyone was certain this disengaged slacker would amount to nothing. There was little else for Wes to do but wile away the days and die in his slow, clock-punching rut.

Until he met a woman named Fox (Angelina Jolie).

After his estranged father is murdered, the deadly sexy Fox recruits Wes into the Fraternity, a secret society that trains Wes to avenge his dad's death by unlocking his dormant powers. As she teaches him how to develop lightning-quick reflexes and phenomenal agility, Wes discovers this team lives by an ancient, unbreakable code: carry out the death orders given by fate itself.
With wickedly brilliant tutors—including the Fraternity's enigmatic leader, Sloan (Morgan Freeman)—Wes grows to enjoy all the strength he ever wanted. But, slowly, he begins to realize there is more to his dangerous associates than meets the eye. And as he wavers between newfound heroism and vengeance, Wes will come to learn what no one could ever teach him: he alone controls his destiny.
Our verdict : Best!! Go watch it. Its an action/fiction kinda movie but i just loved the twisted-plot at the end of the movie.

Get Smart

Went to see the 6:10pm show at One Utama. Movie title : Get Smart.

The plot : Maxwell Smart, an analyst employed by the spy agency CONTROL, has always hoped to be promoted to a be Field Operative, but despite his scoring extremely well on the Field Operative test, the Chief of CONTROL decides not to promote him because Max is more valuable in his current duties. After Agent 23 returns to CONTROL headquarters from a successful mission, Max steps out, disappointed, and accidentally bumps into a woman jogger. He returns to H.Q. to discover that enemy agents, sent by KAOS operative Siegfried, have penetrated CONTROL and have destroyed its interior. He finds the woman that he had bumped into is actually Agent 99; unfortunately, when Max and Agent 99 encounter apparent intruders in the wrecked base, Max fails to recognize them as fellow CONTROL agents and inadvertently attacks the Chief. Afterward, it is discovered that the perpetrators have stolen CONTROL's Agent files, thus exposing and assassinating many CONTROL agents around the world. (the rest of the plot...u guys go and see it for yourself)

Our verdict : Memang best!! Seronok, go and watch it!! Its a 'feel-good' movie. I liked it very much!!

Brought my parents to Cozy Corner for mama's belated birthday dinner and papa's father's day. Its my parents first time dining there but our upteenth time. We also invited bro n SIL since they also never been there before. Huby's treat and he's also the one who suggested the venue since my parents haven't been there before.

Last nite we all made a trip there at 8pm. Hubby said everyone can order anyting they want.

Mama's Cozy Corner Chicken Chop

Papa's T-bone steak.

My mihun/mee soup....i missed Cable-Car Cafe's mihun soup, their's the best!

Bee's mihun hailam

Bro n SIL had 2 white rice each with kung-pau chicken and butter prawns.

Verdict, my parents liked the place and enjoyed the food. As usual our stomach has no rooms for dessert altho i tried to coax them into eating ice-cream but semuanya taknak...sigh.

Anyway, mama sempat lagi beli some buah-buahan just outside of the foyer, so we had strawberries, blueberries and papayas at home sweet home.

Wedding & Birthday

WEDDING

Huby's cousin's first daughter had her 'akad-nikah' at home last nite. And tonite' the reception at Shah Alam Club. All my inlaws came to our house to gather becos our place is the nearest to go to the club. We left the house all fully dressed up at 8:00pm.

The theme for the nite for the ladies side is 'olive green'. I liked the way the pelamin was set up, simple and nice. Unfortunately i could not take photos of the bride & groom cos i was soooo lazy to go to the front.

The food however was a bit of a disappointment. The rice is a bit dry and the sotong sambal is so hard. But the rendang daging and dhall was very tasty.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Kak Oja
Today is sunday. I woke up early to whip up breakfast for my inlaws who were staying with us for the nite. I quickly make sardine sandwich (with MIL's help), mee goreng hailam and mihum goreng pedas. After breakfast which was at 8am, huby and his twin went to Pasar Tani Shah Alam. His twin just loves going there. I didn't go cos i don't really fancy. Anyway, last minutely i remembered that today is another SIL's birthday. She's actually on her way from Seremban to our place cos yesterday she was working and she could not join us for last nite's wedding reception. But in the afternoon, its the men's side to held a lunch reception.
I quickly make a call to hubby and asked him whether he could find any cake which we could make do for a small birthday celebration (luckily i always have birthday-candles on standby). Huby being huby, he managed to get a cake tu...altho not to my expectation-lar (what do you expect?? Pasar tani don't sell Secret Recipe cakes okey!). And then he added some stuff like 'satay ayam', nasi lemak daun pisang (yang cute-cute), 'ayam golek' and 'keropok lekor' (i'm so happy). Once he came back with the goodies, i quickly set up the table again and get ready until the arrival of the birthday girl. She's surprise of course but happy... i just love celebration!!
The food
Birthday Girl
Birthday Cake (believe it or not its only RM6!!)
Some of us (some with kaftan)
It was a nice weekend indeed!!

Visit to Dr. Fish

Yesterday, there were this 3 girls from SOD deparment who went to Subang Parade, to a shop name Foot Massage. No, they're not getting any foot massage but the girls wanted to try out Garra Ruffa fish therapy. The latest hype in Klang Valley!!

The girls were actually M, S and me!! M had went twice and wanted us to try it out. Wah!! I was so 'bersemangat' to do it.

In case some of you who's not familier, doctor fish (in this case - garra rufa fish) is a kind of fish that will go around you and begin to kiss your skin (to me its more like sucking). Its some sort of a treatment function of spa fish. Its also kinda promote blood circulation and release fatigue. They also said that its suppose to treat skin-illness and skin-scar, dead and scaly skin watever that means.

Huby said there are 2 types of fishes. The good ones is the Garra Rufa fish (which originate from Turkey), not the ones from China. So if you guys wanna go for fish-therapy, makes sure its the Garra Rufa fish ya.

M's feet

S's feet

Your's truly

Before we put in our feet into the spa-pool, we have to wash our feet first. Okey now my experience.....gosh!! I must confess, i'm a big wuss!! The first time i put my feet down and when the fishes started to come near and started sucking.....i get so bloddy ticklelish!! Its so "geli"....and i memang penggeli when it comes to this. I had to put my feet in and out a few times before i finally put my feet into the water for a few minutes. At first i sort of scolded 'M' for bringing me to this place cos i can't stand the ticklishness but i know i had to do it again to overcome my 'geli-ness' hehe. After awhile my feet is in, i was doing quite allrite, that too i had to tahan my laugh/giggles cos its so ticklelish!! Huby said i 'jakun'....but i muz bring him to try it out. After our time's up, we get a towel each to wipe-dry our feet. Hmm....my feet did have a clean feeling and it felt light.

Foot Massage fish spa is priced at RM38 (30 minutes).

Happy Birthday Ma

Yesterday was Mama's birthday. Last minutely (yeah, i'm a last minute person when it comes to organising mini gathering, hehe), i called up Anty M and her maid, cuzin F, bro and SIL. Occassion : to celebrate mama's 63th birthday. Time is set at 10pm, which is supper time!!

Hubby bought chicken satay, A.M has voluntereed to do mihun goreng, cuzin F bought kuih bakar and pandan chiffon and i bought Berry's chocolate cake. Unfortunately, bro and SIL could not make it cos she has something on at her workplace.

They all came around 9:45pm. While they were busy chatting and looking at photos, the maid and i set up the table. The maid helped out setting the plates and make her 'kopi pak sarip'. Once everthing was set up, we called them to the dining table. I think mama was a bit surprise and papa pulak yang terover excited. We sang birthday song for her and she blew the candles, later we sang again for cuzin F for her belated birthday...saje suka-suka.

Earlier that nite huby and i had diner at my parents place. After dinner, mama gave a plastic bag of our goodies from Japan...yay!! Didn't expect much but greatful that we get our gifts. I just requeted for a t-shirt from Tokyo Disneyland but i got more then 1 t-shirt...hehehe.. We got a Hard Rock T each and i asked papa when did he find the time to go there. He said one of the guys in their tour-group were a Hard Rock collector so he (a young chap) went there on his own, papa sempat lagi pesan dia belikan those shirt....i'm soooo touched!! Lately, i've been trying to collect those t-shirts especially for huby...for fun!

Not forgetting, i got my mochi (japan's sweet delicacy) too...yummy!!

Mama/papa enjoyed their trip especially Universal Studio and Disneyland. They've been talking and talking about the trip non-stop so i concluded that they've enjoyed it to the max. Unfortunately papa said things/souveniers in Japan is extremely expensive so they didn't really shopped much altho they said they've already spent thousands of RM..hehe..

Last nite has been a memorable one. I'm sure mama is very happy with the surprise arrangement. She's been thanking me this morning. I hoped and prayed that my parents will be blessed with good health, wealth and lots of happines, insyallah. I also prayed for their long-live so that there'll be more trips for them and us in the near future.

Bubba Gump Shrimp

Yesterday went to Bubba Gump. This time its our turn to treat A&S. We wanted to introduce this new eatary to them.

For appetiser, we ordered 3/4 pound 'Shrimper Catch'. (very fresh and tasty)

'A' ordereed Bourbon Street Baramundi. (We recomend you order this dish, sedap!! The combination of the mashed potatoes, nachos and sauce is just right!)

'S' ordered Shrimp New Orleans (I liked the rice texture and the shrimp's quite tasty)

Huby ordered fish n chips...(jaga his diet). Even the 4 of us could not help him finish the fries, there were so much!!

I ordered Shrimp-Po Boy. Its a sandwich with generous topping of vege, together with fried tender shrimp. (very very nice!)

3 of them ordered Lemonade. I donno whether they're being bias or not but they really really praised the free-flow Lemonade, they said its the best lemonade they ever tasted!!

Overall A&S is are very happy. I didn't get the chance to tryout their desserts as there wasn't any more rooms for more...sigh. We enjoyed the food, each other's company and we definately went home with a full stomach!

Strawberry Field Cafe

Last friday nite, took 'cute cuzin' for her belated birthday dinner. She suggested that she wanna go to Strawberry Field cafe. There used to be in Subang Parade but it was closed down quite sometime ago. Now they're in USJ.
The last time we've been there was last year. The food is good but the only set back was the place has no aircond, so its quite warm-lah, oso depending on weather on that day.

We force 'cute-cuzin' not to order her normal nasi goreng, so instead, she ordered Penang KuewTeow and mushroom soup.

I tried her kuewteow, memang sedap!

A.M ordered black pepper steak (i don't quite fancy the sauce)

Huby ordered seafood platter...okey lar

I ordered Oriental Chicken Chop...i've tried nicer sauce..
